Thinking of stepping out of our homes in this scorching heat is just not advised nor people like to move out but. Various questions do's and dont's checklist comes up with it when, we are planning to move out, and whole day just gets invested in this...
Now, by just not wasting more time, I can say..if you don't want to spend your holidays just thinking about, where you can go...make a plan for Hazrat nizzamuddin ki dargah this thrusday..why particularly thursday...well even our Bollywood stardom are also a part of this, remember, Delhi-6 'Arziyaan' and 'Rockstarr' starring ranbir kapoor, in which he was singing to the tunes of qawwali, 'kun faya' composed by A. R. Rahman is dedicated to Nizamuddin Auliya. Kun Faya Kun a song in the movie Rockstar (2011) composed by A. R. Rahman, is also dedicated to him and shot at the dargah, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Nizami Brothers, the traditional qawwals of the dargah.
I guess its helping you in brushing up our memory very well. If you a Ranbir kapoor fan, it just will not be the reason but splurging yourself in qawaali evening there...
Being a secular person , I like this place, as it has that sanctity and peace. The tunes of qawaali in evening are mesmerizing ..by the time you feel a connection with the devotion and can experience the customs and traditions practiced in Islam. Nizamuddin Dargah is the dargah (mausoleum) of one of the world's most famous Sufi saints,Nizamuddin Auliya. Situated in the Nizamuddin West area of Delhi, the dargah is visited by thousands of Muslims every week, and sees a fair share of Hindus, Christians and people from other religions. The tombs of poet Amir Khusro and Mughal princess Jehan Ara Begum are also located within the Nizamuddin Dargah complex, and Inayat Khan's tomb is just around the corner.
Now, let me tell you, how special and 'lajawaab' the food is up there..while entering there only, you can sense those biryani and shorba cooking, so giving an end to your visit is not a problem at all. And the food will have an impact on your taste buds. Taking your camera if you are a photographer, would be a wise choice. You can find many subjects, frames and emotions which will make you go clicking. Spend a evening listening to 'qawwali', you will realized its uniqueness and sanctity... |

Qawwali Evening in, Delhi..

Boots And Boys
Just
like "Sex and the City's" heroine Carrie Bradshaw, millions of women
around the world love high-heeled shoes. However, the pain that comes with
wearing the towering wonders is another story.
Now
two students from Simon Fraser University hope to end that painful, high-heel
hell thanks to their intriguing design for an adjustable pump.
Nasim
Jahangiri and Pantea Shahsavani created the adjustable high-heeled shoe as part
of their final project at Simon Fraser University's School of Interactive Arts
and Technology.
The
inspiration for this idea came to Jahangiri after attending a wedding in 5-inch
heels.
"I
was wearing beautiful heels. It was fine for the first few hours, but then it
was painful. I didn't enjoy the night at all," Jahangiri said via
satellite from Vancouver on CTV's Canada AM Tuesday.
Together
with SFU student Shahsavani, Jahangiri set out in September of 2011 to create a
heel for a shoe that could be stylish yet comfortable.
The
team's other primary goal was to alleviate the pain and health risks associated
with the prolonged use of high heels.
Teetering
on 5-inch stilettos may look glamorous and create the illusion of a longer,
leaner body. But in real life, the extended wear of high heels has been linked
to common concerns such as bunions, corns and calluses.
High
heels have also been linked to more complex issues such as misshapen hammertoes
and chronic pain in the back, knee and ball of the foot.
With
those concerns in mind, Jahangiri and Shahsavani fashioned what they now call a
"smart shoe."
The
prototype created for their "Head Over Heels" project features
interlocking parts in the heel. These parts can be used to raise or lower the
shoe's height.
For
example, a woman can start out her day wearing 5-inch heels and reduce the
heel's height to 2 1/2 inches once their feet, calves, knees and back begin to
ache. This can be done by detaching the bottom portion of the interlocking heel
and storing that piece inside the shoe's remaining heel.
The
team's comfort-friendly design also features interactive pressure sensors in
the shoe's heel.
These
sensors are hidden inside a front panel on the shoe that vibrate after two
hours, telling the wearer that it is time to adjust the height of their heels.
"What's
really interesting about this design is that the shoe works with the person
wearing it," said Shahsavani.
"It
allows you to recognize when you're wearing high heels for a long time. That
affects our bodies," she said.
How
podiatrists or shoe-lovers will rate the duo's invention remains to be seen.
But the SFU program has given these two students a business idea that could
prove profitable. For Jahangiri, the SFU program will be her third degree, after
studying architecture in Iran and web design after arriving in Canada.
Shahsavani
will graduate with her Bachelor of Arts this summer with plans to go into
marketing.
The
team hopes to take out a patent on their adjustable high-heel prototype in the
near future.
2:
If
ever necessity was the mother of invention, this is it," she said.
"For
the first time, it offers women the possibility to combine fashion, comfort and
convenience - all in one shoe."
Handmade
in Italy using luxurious Italian leathers, the idea was conceived and developed
by Lauren's brother Dr David Handel, who wanted to give business women an
alternative to wearing sports shoes on their to work.
Launched
just four months ago across the U.S Lauren beleives the popularity of the
adjustable heel shows that women the world over have been crying out for it.
"The
response to our shoes has been thrilling for us and as we hear and read
customer testimonials there is a deep sense of gratification for all of the
efforts that went in to making our vision a reality," she said.
"We
would want for women all over the world who want or need to wear high heels to
have all the benefits available to them that an adjustable-height high heel
offers."
3:
An
adjustable high heel that tells you when your feet need a break has been
created by students, answering women’s prayers everywhere.
The
“smart shoe” prototype has a detachable bottom portion on the heel that can be
stored inside the shoe’s remaining heel.
Pressure
sensors hidden in a front panel on the shoe vibrate after about two hours,
telling the wearer it is time to adjust the height of their heels.
However,
lovers of flats will be disappointed, since the adjustable 12.7 centimetre
pumps only shrink by half at this stage.
While
women have an insatiable love of high heels, they can become excruciating to
walk in after a few hours, so any sort of solution is to be applauded.
